Kourken Michaelian is currently a lecturer at the Philosophy Department of the University of Otago in New Zealand. From 2011 to 2014 he was an assistant professor at the Philosophy Department of the Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. Before that he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut Jean-Nicod in Paris, France. He received his PhD in 2009 at the Philosophy Department of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, USA. His main research interest is in mental time travel and episodic memory.
