Abstract:	The text treats medical and juristic aspects of the abortion of a disabled embryo, stating various fatwas. All fatwas clearly prohibit the abortion because it would contradict Allah’s will. Some of the fatwas are written by doctors who know the risks of an abortion as well as of a Caesarean. Just one fatwa allows abortion until the 40th day for reasons of the prevention of health hazard. Furthermore there are given several examples of dealing with a likely disabled embryo.
