Chair for Materials Science and Engineering

Hongcai Wang is working as a post-doc researcher after receiving his doctoral degree in our institute. His research interests lying on the processing-microstructure-property relationships in various steels. Closely cooperating with industries, microstructure of steels produced from different thermo-mechanical processing and alloying principles are characterized in detail on multi-scale levels. His current focus is the precipitation behavior of steels microalloyed with elements such as Mo, Nb, V and N. Meanwhile as a microscopist, he also provides necessary assists to the institute members with regarding to TEM characterization in other alloy systems.
